About Our Lending Libraries

While live meetings are not being held, library checkouts continue as no-contact. 

​

No-contact Carrier Checkout for paid OKCBw members with Edmond Library B:
1. Contact Lending Librarian through Facebook Messenger or email OKCBabywearing@gmail.com. Specify which carrier from Library B you want to check out. Librarian will prepare carrier and tie in bag for pickup.

2. Pickup carrier in NE Edmond or use USPS Priority and pay for shipping to and from librarian.

3. Keep for up to one month, then choose another carrier for checkout. If your carrier isn't on a want-list, you may check it out for another month.

4. Return carrier to librarian or ship to librarian's address. Carrier will be quarantined for 7 days minimum, cleaned, and returned to the library for subsequent checkouts. Please alert librarian if the carrier is soiled, or anyone in your household or in contact with the carrier has been ill. -The lending library is available at all meetings. Any attendee may try carriers at the meetings; members may check out a carrier to use at home. Membership is $30 per year and gives you lending privileges and many other benefits.

 

-You may check out one carrier at a time, for 30 days at a time. You must return the carrier you have checked out to its appropriate location and librarian.

 

-Please return carriers on time. Failure to return carriers on time may incur a late fee. Repeated issues may result in loss of library privileges.

 

 -You must attend meetings to check out carriers.  If you can't make it to the meeting to return the carrier, it must be mailed to the address on your agreement page.

 

-We will show you how to use the carrier; you agree to use caution & common sense while wearing the carrier.  Oklahoma City Babywearers & its leaders are not liable for any injury that occurs.

 

-Do not smoke in the carrier, wear the carrier around smokers, or allow pets access to the carriers.

-Please do not wash the carriers, other than spot cleaning with a damp washcloth.  If a stain occurs and a water spot treatment doesn't work, please contact a leader for help.

 

-You are responsible for any lost, stolen, or damaged carriers.
