Our Very First Babywearing Swap Event!
We have our first ever babywearing swap event tomorrow! We realize many of you have questions about how this event will work. Here’s a handy guide:
How will this be set up?
This will be a live, in person event held in the classroom space at The Changing Table. We are selling some carriers from the library to raise funds for newer and more requested items. The public (that’s you) is also invited to sell their carriers at this event.
What happens if I want to sell at this event?
Send us a message and let us know! We want to be sure there are enough tables available. We are asking a table fee in the form of a $5 donation for anyone wanting table space to sell their carriers.
What carriers will be available?
Previews have been posted to our Facebook page here. Sellers are invited to post what they will be bringing on the event page, so check there too!
What condition are the carriers in?
Carriers range from well loved to never checked out of the library. Please note that 1 or 2 ring slings have been particularly well loved and may be sold as scrap for crafting rather than a carrier.
What will the prices be like?
We can only speak for the carriers we are selling. Toddler size soft structured carriers will be $110-150. All other carriers will be sold for $70 or less. Individuals who are selling at this event may price their carriers as they see fit.
Can I haggle?
Yes. We have tried to price competitively with other similar secondhand carriers, but you are welcome to make offers.
What forms of payment will you take?
Cash and PayPal are both acceptable.
